About Tic Tac Toe
Tic tac toe is the classic three-in-a-row game. Our version is made for classrooms: a big board you can project, team names, a running scoreboard and a computer opponent with an easy and a tricky level.
How to play Tic Tac Toe
- Players take turns placing X and O in the squares.
- Get three in a row (across, down or diagonally) to win the round.
- If all nine squares fill up with no winner, it's a tie. Switch who goes first each round.
Using Tic Tac Toe in the classroom
- Team battle: split the room in two, and each team has 10 seconds to choose its move.
- Challenge the computer on tricky mode. Can anyone force a tie?
- Talk strategy: why is the center square so powerful?
